Cyberstella STL: Gameplay, narratives, and control, at your fingertips
As $STL makes its debut in Cyberstella’s open beta test, we figured it’s the perfect time to dive deep into the ins and outs of this fantastic token and talk about its numerous functions both within and beyond Cyberstella.
First, let’s set the stage.
$STL is one of the primary tokens in Cyberstella, alongside $UCC. Both tokens can be earned in-game; however, $UCC’s functionalities are mostly limited to the game itself. In contrast, $STL offers players a plethora of features both inside and outside Cyberstella. Plus, there are many ways to get your hands on $STL tokens, not just by playing the game.
Let’s explore how users can obtain $STL or STL points.
During the open beta, we introduced the ability to earn $STL via gameplay. By embarking on Adventures, players can acquire $STL, $UCC, and other items like crafting materials and Scouting Tickets for them to use.
Several factors influence the odds and returns of a player’s adventure runs, but Agility plays the most significant role in earning $STL. The more Agility points a Crew NFT has and the more energy they spend during adventure runs, the more $STL they can potentially earn.
$STL is also used in various in-game functions and can unlock substantial benefits to players once obtained.
Scouting is a prime example — and arguably one of the most crucial. It enables users to utilize their Scouting Tickets and further expand their Crew roster.
Scouting uses two Crew NFTs of the same rarity that haven’t reached their scouting limits and burns the Scouting ticket. In return, this process will yield a new Crew for the player and will only add to the Scouting Limits of the parent Crews.
While Scouting cannot fail, the resulting Crew’s rarity isn’t guaranteed and its rarity may be different from its parent Crews — with a lower, higher, or simply the same rarity being a possibility.
In addition, Crew $STL earnings aren’t limitless, and each Crew can only earn a set amount of $STL in their lifetime. These limits are based on the Crew’s rarity, and once it’s reached, they can’t earn any more $STL. Their adventure runs can still yield $UCC and materials, but $STL will no longer appear.
The only way for a Crew to earn more $STL is through the Limit Break process.
This new feature is available in the mainnet version of the game and allows $STL-limited Crews to break through their limits and earn $STL once more.
Of course, players can also choose to earn $STL outside the game, should they be mindful of their Crew $STL limits.
One of the top ways to do so is through the STL points system, inside our Discord. This community feature allows our members to convert their out-game activities into STL points, then turn those STL points into actual $STL, which they can use in Cyberstella.
Joining events, creating fan art, contributing to the wiki, crafting secondary works (like stickers, emojis, or gifs), or even translating are some activities that users can do to earn STL points.
You can learn more about this in the 📘╏point-guidelines channel inside our Discord.
At present, these are the primary applications of $STL, but in the future, players will also get the chance to see their own Crews become a part of Cyberstella’s official manga and webtoon adaptations — through $STL. Moreover, $STL could also be potentially utilized in various ways if and when new systems are implemented in the future.
In a nutshell, whether you’re just playing, scouting, customizing your Crews, or simply just participating in community activities, $STL is within your grasp and will help empower you in your adventures in Cyberstella.
So, buckle up, start collecting, and join us for the ride. The journey is long, and good company is always welcome.
